Walking and Hiking in and around Bognor Regis
Walking in the South Downs

The area of Bognor Regis is great place for walking and hiking. Whether taking a leisurely stroll along the promenade, exploring Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve or enjoying the miles of walks to be had within the Southdowns National Park.

Explore Bognor Regis on foot

There are so many places to enjoy a walk in and around Bognor Regis. The promenade of is very popular place to start. The flat promenade begins at West Park and ends just beyond Felpham, a walk of some 2.75 miles to enjoy the sea views and take in the sea air.

From the promenade, you can explore various areas of Bognor Regis including the town centre as well as these villages of Felpham and Middleton-On-Sea which are both accessible on foot along the promenade and the foot paths.

Pagham Harbour

Enjoy a walk around the beautiful coastal nature reserve just 10 mins from the town centre by car. There's a wide variety of habitats including salt marsh, mudflats, lagoons and reed beds. Don't forget to look out for a Look out for a varied selection of birds along the way.

There is also a series six Heritage Trails to give you some of the history as you stroll through the town. These trails can be found on the Bognor Regis Heritage Trails website (opens in a new window).

South Downs National Park

With its many tracks, trails and leafy lanes, one of the best known walking routes in the South of England, is the 160km long South Downs Way with spectacular views along the way.
